Myrtle the Stork was carved from a long thin block of rough limestone. 

Markings in the finished work are due to the presence of natural impurities in the stone, such as minerals or the fossils of marine invertebrates or other organisms. 

Myrtle is 18.5 inches high, 5.25 inches wide and 7.25 inches deep.

It weighs 27.9 pounds  / 12.6 Kg .
